Michael Wayne Monroe was convicted today of Attempted Robbery in the First Degree, Menacing, Theft in the Second Degree, and Interfering with a Peace Officer for robbing a store clerk at knife point. A police K-9 was able to track him to a hiding spot in some bushes near Juniper Fitness Center where he was arrested with the cash and knife on him. Based on his substantial criminal history including 2 prior robberies, bail jumping, and resisting arrest, he received 72 months in prison with 3 years of post prison supervision.
